FO Merry Maiden’s Dress from IK

By Rogue Tess

This fun dress (scroll down), in Plymouth Encore Colorspun and Plymouth Encore in pink, #6 and #4 needles, is for the 4-1/2 year-old daughter of two friends and colleagues. She is a pistol, and looks and acts just like the girl pictured in the magazine, cartwheel and all. Note I finished it just in time for an unseasonable hot spring. Oh well, it’s got plenty of room to grow with her. The second photo is a detail of the lace gusset and straight cable sections.

RogueTess,
whose own dd is too big for such fun, relatively quick knits

Thanks! I made a sort of matching beret, too. I’ll post pix today or tomorrow.

Oh, it looks beautiful in that yarn!! May I put your picture in my gallery?

  4. Rogue Tess Says:

Hi gryphon — you are most welcome to copy the picture! The recipient looks great in it…

I’m eager to see it on the lassie. I must admit to having lost steam on the skirt as well and took forever to finish the prototype. When it was accepted I hired a knitter to make the one for the mag and she blew through it in no time. I wouldn’t want to have to knit the huge skirt again!
