I have begun using Evernote as a filing system. Its main virtue for me is its uncanny OCR ability to find and recognize text, even in photographs. For example, a search for the word “dance” brings up a picture of a t-shirt publicizing one of DD’s dance recitals. SO useful! I’ve been scanning and taking pictures like crazy. The one below is of a recipe from a friend’s mom for a wonderful bar cookie. Rather than recopy it or even scan it, I took a picture, imported it to Evernote, and sync-ed it. A search for “bars” brought up the recipe! I don’t even have to tag the picture, although that would make other kinds of searches easier.
No knitting content today because of no knitting accomplished. 😦
